After you reach out to me, I’ll gather additional details from you such as travel, lodging and activity preferences.
Step 2: Review & Customize
I’ll send you a digital itinerary to review, where you can add comments, request revisions, and pick from accommodation options.
Connect with me any time via integrated live chat, email, text, or phone call.
When you’re satisfied, we’ll discuss payment options, travel insurance, and my planning fee.
Step 3: Travel with Confidence
Before you leave, I’ll send you reminders and helpful tips and tricks to keep things on track.
I monitor your bookings for changes and stay available throughout your journey, so you’re never caught off guard.

Why use a travel agent?
Travel agents offer expert guidance, save you time and stress, and provide one-stop shopping for your travel needs. They have insider knowledge, help with documents, offer great value through comparison shopping, and act as your advocate if issues arise. Plus, you get personalized service and expanded vacation possibilities you might not find on your own.
How do you book on my behalf?
After the itinerary is agreed upon, you will be sent a secure form from my Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to enter your payment method details. Only I will be able to access this information, which will be deleted immediately after I book accommedations for you. The bookings themself are completed in various travel advisor-exclusive portals by the airlines/hotels/rental car companies or a third-party vacation package company.
Do I have to pay in full up front?
No! The travel/hospitality industry can be extremely generous and allows bookings to be placed or held differently for clients of a travel agent. When booking with me, you generally are able to choose from these four options:
1. Pay in full
2. Pay a deposit at the time of booking, and the rest of the balance by a certain date before the trip.
3. Monthly installments (no interest, non-credit, fixed payments)
4. Monthly payments (third-party-financed credit payments, with or without interest)
What is the planning/service fee for?
The planning fee (aka service fee) helps offset the cost of running my business. But it’s more than just a fee. When you book with me, you’re not only getting a stress-free experience. You’re also getting disruption assistance, document support, a custom destination guide, and in-depth research into every part of your trip.
Do you specialize in any given area of travel?
At the moment, no. However, the bulk of my bookings have historially been in the domestic United States. I am happy to assist you wherever your trip will take you using the resources I have available!
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes! Once you create a trip with me, you can view and manage almost everything during each step of the process with the Tern for Travelers app. Available on the App Store and Google Play.
